Gareth Gaston, appointed Managing Director of OctopusTravel in April 2008, is an expert in managing the online retailing of hotels and hotel brands.Before joining OctopusTravel, the online hotel retailer and subsidiary of Travelport, Gareth worked for Ramada Jarvis as Head of Distribution and eCommerce. His achievements included a 98% growth of brand website revenue in 2007.
Gareth began his career in 1996 with the Stakis Group developing the company’s first website. Gareth then joined Hilton International, where he was pivotal in the development and roll out of local brand web sites across 9 countries. In his final role at Hilton he was commercially accountable for the eight local market websites as well as Hilton.com.
